AKITO — Care & Maintenance
A clear, premium and easy-to-understand guide on how to use, maintain, store and protect your AKITO timepiece. Designed with a rose‑gold aesthetic to reflect the brand’s luxury feel.
How to Use Your Automatic Watch
Automatic watches are powered by natural wrist movement. Treat them with care and they will last for decades.
When the watch stops, gently wind the crown clockwise 20–40 turns. Stop when slight resistance is felt. Do not overwind.
Wearing your watch throughout the day keeps the mainspring charged and maintains accuracy.
Pull the crown halfway to set the date (avoid 9PM–3AM). Pull fully to set the time. Prefer forward movement for time adjustment.
Most AKITO automatics have a 38–48 hour power reserve. If unworn beyond this, wind again before wearing.
Care & Cleaning
- General cleaning: Wipe with a soft microfiber cloth after use to remove moisture, fingerprints and sweat.
- Metal bracelets: Clean with mild soap and warm water. Gently brush and dry completely.
- Leather straps: Avoid water, perfumes and direct sunlight. Rotate straps to extend lifespan.
- Avoid magnetism: Strong magnetic fields may affect accuracy. Keep away from speakers, laptops and magnetic bags.
- Temperature: Avoid extreme hot environments like saunas or car dashboards.
Water & Moisture Safety
- Do not expose your watch to hot water, steam or saunas.
- After contact with water, always dry the watch fully.
- If condensation appears under the glass, stop wearing immediately and contact support.
Storage Guidelines
- Store in a cool, dry place using your AKITO box or a padded watch case.
- Use silica gel packs to control humidity.
- If not worn for long periods, wind occasionally to keep oils distributed.
Troubleshooting
Wind 20–40 times and wear for a few hours. If it stops again repeatedly, check regulation or servicing.
Minor daily variation is normal. If beyond ±20 seconds/day, servicing may be needed.
Indicates seal issue. Stop wearing and contact service immediately.
Using Your NFC Card
Each AKITO watch includes an NFC card that provides quick digital access to important watch information. Here's how to use it:
- Turn on NFC: On Android, enable NFC in settings. On iPhone, NFC works automatically on supported models.
- Tap the card: Hold the NFC card near the upper-back or center of your phone until a prompt appears.
- Open the link: Your phone will load a secure AKITO page with model details, specifications, maintenance guide and authenticity confirmation.
- Keep the card safe: Store it with your watch documents just like a physical certificate.
