1. Purpose of This Agreement
This document formalizes the principles governing ownership, authenticity, and provenance of AKITO timepieces. By purchasing, registering, or transferring an AKITO watch, you acknowledge and accept these terms designed to preserve collector trust and the brand’s integrity.
2. Ownership Definition
- Ownership of an AKITO timepiece is recognized only after NFC activation and registration in AKITO’s secure registry.
- Each registered owner receives a digital certificate tied to their watch’s unique serial and NFC ID.
- Possession without registration does not constitute verified ownership.
3. Transfer & Succession
- Ownership transfers exclusively through the AKITO Exchange or via approved resale registration by the AKITO team.
- Both parties must verify through NFC during handover. Unverified transfers are not recognized legally or digitally.
- Upon verified transfer, the new owner receives an updated digital certificate, while the previous owner’s record is archived.
4. Authenticity & NFC Integrity
- Every AKITO piece embeds an encrypted NFC chip linked to our secure blockchain-like registry.
- Tampering with, replacing, or cloning NFC hardware invalidates warranty and authenticity.
- AKITO reserves the right to permanently delist tampered serials and pursue legal remedy for counterfeit activity.
5. Collector Responsibility
As a collector, you agree to:
- Maintain your NFC tag and digital certificate securely.
- Report any loss or suspected tampering immediately to support@akitowatches.com.
- Refrain from selling or displaying non-verified AKITO watches as authentic.
6. Intellectual & Design Rights
All AKITO watch designs, movements, dial art, and NFC technologies are proprietary intellectual property of AKITO Industries Pvt. Ltd. Copying or adaptation for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.
7. Warranty & Legal Protections
- All verified watches carry a one-year international warranty covering mechanical and manufacturing defects.
- Warranty service requires NFC validation. Unauthorized repairs void all warranties.
- Warranty claims are inspected and approved by the AKITO Atelier before resolution.
8. Data & Registry Privacy
The ownership registry contains limited personal data required for verification. All data is encrypted, used only for service, warranty, or resale verification, and handled per our Privacy Policy.
9. Legal Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by Indian law. Any dispute shall be resolved via arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
